This directory was created by Dr. Howard Gurr. He is a psychologist who utilizes Virtual Reality Therapy in his practice. Over the years, it became clear to Dr. Gurr that patients were not aware of the potential Virtual Reality could bring to their therapy. Patients were calling him from all over asking for Virtual Reality treatment, but Dr. Gurr was unable to meet their needs. Dr. Gurr would try to help these patients by finding therapists who used Virtual reality in their practices. It was a daunting task finding other VR therapists, as there were too few and it was difficult to locate them. Dr. Gurr decided that there should be a directory of clinicians who utilize Virtual reality in their practices. No one single company appeared to be interested in creating such a directory. Dr. Gurr decided to create the directory and list therapists who use Virtual Reality, regardless of which platform or product they utilize. Dr. Gurr wanted a website where therapists could list their practices, share information with like-minded therapists, and where prospective patients could locate clinicians near them that would  be able to provide  Virtual Reality Therapy.

The clinicians in this directory entered their own information. Dr. Gurr will make every effort to ensure that only therapists who are appropriately credentialed in their country or state will be listed in this directory. It should also be noted that it has been general practice that the VR companies vet clinicians before they can purchase their equipment, or use their  VR platforms in their practices.

This directory is for informational purposes only. Dr. Gurr does not claim responsibility for the accuracy of the therapist’s information. It is strongly advised that prospective patients check on the credentials of any therapist before they make an appointment.

There are no costs for clinicians to list their practices and no cost for prospective patients to search for therapists.

The therapists will be listing information that is pertinent to their practices such as: credentials, addresses, phone numbers, websites, and any biographical information they offer. No personal information will be collected on members of the public who are searching for therapists. This site does not share any personal information with any third parties nor is any personal information used for any purposes. IP addresses may be automatically logged in order to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site.
